Below are only a few real-life example of different ways in which we managed to create value for our clients, depending on their specific needs.
Decreasing transit time and cost by optimizing routes for clothing materials
We were contracted by a large customer of ours to conduct regular transport of clothing materials from the Netherlands to Bulgaria via Spain. After a few months, we noticed that instead of using the same truck to perform the multi-point route, we could utilize different trucks of ours, which we made sure could be available in the required geographic areas on the required dates. The end result was an overall 2-day decrease in the transit time for the entire route and a 20% reduction of our client‘s logistics costs.
Our client gladly accepted our proposal and gradually entrusted us to operate their entire logistics department for them.
Increasing reliability by developing a flexible solution for a large clothing manufacturer
A reputable clothing company manufactures their products in 10 different facilities spread across Bulgaria and Romania. When we started working with them, we were requested to send a vehicle to load clothes in 5 different plants one after the other. Due to the specifics of the manufacturing process though, it occured fairly frequently for one of the factories to be late with their produce. As a result, the entire truck was delayed, meaning the goods from all 4 other factories had to also arrive at a later date at their destination point in France.
We proposed to our client to change the approach and start using 3-4 different vehicles instead of only 1. Thereby, by being more flexible to adapt to the manufacturing process of our client, we ensured that all of the goods arrived quickly and on time at their point of destination. At the same time we kept the costs for our client under control as we either leveraged the left-over space in each of the trucks for additional shipments and/or we used cross-docking on the way to France.
Ensuring higher quality at lower price for a less time-sensitive customer
A clothes producer had limited quantities of clothes ready for transportation from Bulgaria to the Benelux every week. The shipments were not time-sensitive, hence the client initially asked us to store their goods until we could fill in a large truck, so that a lower price is achieved. However, we noticed that the client‘s produce was highly sensitive to re-arrangements as it got wrinkled very easily.
Thereby, we proposed to our client to set up a weekly groupage line by combining their clothes with goods of other clients. This way we avoided the need to re-arrange the clothes, ensuring their delivery in perfect condition. At the same time we reduced even further the overall transortation costs by eliminating the need for storage.
